Dr Shriram Lagoo Passes Away At Age Of 92 in Pune
Senior actor, thinker and social activist Dr. Shriram Lagu died of old age in Pune. He was 92 years old.
He is being treated at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital for the last few days. Their health had deteriorated for two days. Doctors tried hard but their efforts were not successful. His contribution to Marathi and Hindi cinema was huge. Many of the plays he performed on the theater were huge.
Dr. Shriram Lagoo was born on November 7, 1919 in Satara. He started his theatrical career in 1979. Dr. Applicant had made a different impression in his field of theater and cinema.
While studying in a medical college, Sriram Lagu started to play in drama and later started a progressive drama organization with like-minded senior affectioners like Bhalba Kelkar.
In the 1930s, he underwent surgery for ear and throat surgeries and worked in Pune for two years and then underwent further training in Canada and England.
While in India, work on the theater was started through progressive theater, Pune and Rangayan, Mumbai.
He finally started working as a full-time drama actor in the year 1949, from Vasant Kanetkar’s play “इथे ओशाळला मृत्यू”.
